Great budget safety gate, bought for baby's bedroom door as the fittings are narrow so can be screwed into the outer door casing rather than fitting a pressure gate inside the door frame which means you can't close the door.

The stair gate is fine for a budget product. we have placed it to stop our daughter getting to the cooker which attracts her like a magnet. we wanted a gate that opened to the full width of the gap so this is ideal - no frills but does the job
very good value for money

I purchased two from Sure Start centre at £5 each & was convinced they would be very poor as so cheap but they are very good. Sturdy, easy to assemble, easy to operate & they look clean & tidy.

Pros: easy to fit & no bar to trip or stub your feet on
Cons: have to drill into your wall or door frame so when removed later will leave marks
