Use occasionally when a grandchild visits. It goes across the bedroom door. It appears to be strong but I find it quite difficult to open with one hand whilst holding on to a child. The bar across the bottom is a trip hazard so would not use a pressure gate if it was for regular use and definitely not on the stairs. Suits my purpose.
