We bought the gate for our pointer to stop her from going upstairs but it also is used to stop our toddler from climbing on the stairs a great dual product for people with larger dogs

Using to stop new adolescent dog from sneaking out the front door when dog walkers comes in during the day. The extra heigt is great, as she has jumped other standard-height gates, though its not quite a sturdy as I would hoped for. This is the first day she has been left on her own with the gate, and although with consistant barging I think she would knock it down, I think its height is enough of a deterent. Extensions are great, as struggled to get gates wide enough to fit.

It seems to fit the intended purpose (deterring dog from going where we don't want him to). The only suggestion for improvement would be to have a sticker on the gate saying not to remove the cable grip keeping the gate in the frame until gate has been installed. It does say that in the instruction booklet but it's all to easy to unpack the components before reading the booklet on how to instal them. I had assumed the tie was just to secure the product during transit but in fact it's part of the fitting process. Having said that we're happy with the product itself.

Fit easily, and sensibly explained instructions. However if this isfir use with children, 2 does seem to be the maximum you can possibly use safely, and you will have to use the screw on cups that make this not really a pressure-fit gate, to make it safe.
