In 2006 BabySecurity was acquired by Gerad Barclay, the Founder and Managing Director. At that time, BabySecurity was a site started by two techies in London at the very start of Online shopping. They understood technology but knew nothing about Retailing so they could not make it a success. They returned to City life after selling to Gerad Barclay, the Founder and Managing Director and this was his first venture into Nursery and Online.
BabySecurity was born 15 years ago with the intention of helping parents find the best baby products from a range of different brands. We specialised on safety gates, but quickly widened our range of products to nursery furniture, baby monitors, prams and pushchairs as well as feeding and playtime accessories. Every new product was added by listening to the suggestions and needs of parents.
